Konstantinos Kontokostas is a freelance journalist based in Thessaly. Since 2012 he has worked for national and local media in Greece and in 2020 contributed research for Uppdrag granskning, the flagship investigative tv program at Swedish Public Television (SVT). He holds a Master’s degree in investigative journalism from the university of Gothenburg and has a background in Computer Science. In 2019 he attended the Summer Investigative Reporting Course at Columbia Journalism School and in 2020 he was selected by the Toepfer Foundation and the Arena for Journalism in Europe to participate in the inaugural European cross-border & collaborative journalism programme. His interests include cross-border journalism, data journalism, reporting on social and environmental issues and studying the development of local investigative journalism in Greece.
