Stavros Malichudis was born in 1992 and is a reporter based in Athens, Greece. He is the community editor of Reporters United and covers refugees and migration for Solomon and international media. He has participated in cross-border investigations: with Investigate Europe, and with Lighthouse Reports, Mediapart, Der Spiegel and Euronews. His work has been published in European and Greek media. He worked for inside story for three years. In 2019, he was chosen as a fellow for the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence (BFJE) by BIRN and in the summer of the same year he was trained in data journalism in Columbia University of New York. He has studied journalism in undergraduate level and gender studies and anthropology in postgraduate level - both in Panteion university. He speaks English, Spanish, and German. His story The Logbook of Moria, co-authored with Iliana Papangeli, produced and published by Solomon, Investigate Europe and Reporters United, was shortlisted for the 2021 European Press Prize in the Distinguished Reporting category.
